Italian Ice has quickly become the second best milker in the barn as a 2 yr old -- right behind her dam, Agatha.   She is projected at #4100 this year!   She was one of quad doelings born in 2005, and the one we finally chose to keep out of them all.  2 of the quads were cream, 2 were colored.

She is one of the favorites in the barn, and had the privilege of being the first goat ever shown by my then 6 yr old daughter Nicole -- and promptly won her class under Shelia Nixon -- even beating out Snowbird!

She looks amazingly similar to Agatha at the same age, with the advantage of a much improved mammary system -- higher in the rear and more tightly attached.  She scored an amazing 45 on rear udder height.  I expect great things from this doe as she ages.

2008-
Italian Ice was kept home except for fairs this year.  She is needed more at home to produce milk!
Current Lactation: 286-2870-124-85

2009- "Tally" was again kept home to keep the masses fed this year!  She continues to develop and mature, as her improved LA score of 88 shows.
Although we opted to dry does off early this year, she was projected at #3150 this year after a difficult kidding that impacted her health.

2010- As her appraisal score of 90 VEVE shows -- Tally finally grew up!   Her mammary system is exquisite, and seems to actually get better every year.   She is bred AI to Cherry Glen TRI Mojave, and I am very much looking forward to those kids in February 2011!

2011- Tally had a ROUGH kidding to say the least, popping out a 15# single buckling, and promptly prolapsing her uterus out right behind him.  Thanks to our wonderful veterinarian, Dr, Easterday, who was willing to do 2 hours of driving at 6 pm on a Friday night, we were able to get everything put back into place, stitched in, and with days of nursing, managed to get her back to rights.

Although she didn't have a lot of milk -- I kept squeezing to help her uterus contract, and her milk did come in!  Although nothing like her other lactations, it was a miracle she was still alive!
According to our vet, it is unlikely that she will ever prolapse again, due to scar tissue forming to hold the uterus in place.

With crossed fingers, we managed to get her settled to Redwood Hills Revolution Speed for 4/12 kids!   $600 - see breeding list for available reservations.
